Aion Server Merge Synopsis Report

Some people is keeping a positive attitude toward Aion and this decision of NCSoft of merging up the servers and the constant changes they are making into what is going to happened with the character names and legion names. There are people that are fans of this game and they really want to see it flourish into a successful game. Others on the other hand feel the call of realism on their heads and are already criticizing the server merge as an act of desperation from NCSoft due to lack of player population, poor management or a simple step taken into a smooth death. One of the main complains heard in the community is the large amount of time that the Aion developers take to do every single change into the game, so far the game is going to be one year old soon in NA, and nothing substantial have been added. Maybe now that the developers decided to reduce the server number, we can expect more focus on them in creating content, or at least implement it if they already have it. But let\'s get to the point and talk about this merge, what is going on in Aion now, if this stunt move is good or bad and what kind of rating with can give it… The first thing I saw this morning I woke up was this: With the gaming site down and the game servers down the only thing I could do was simply to sit down and wait (I did something else). \'Some time later\' Ok after 12 hours of downtime, I finally got into the game, guess what!!! My name was change, apparently they added a suffix to every player name, Mine was IS because I played in the Israphel server Of course not everything was lost, every player got into their inventory one name change ticket, unfortunately there is no warning on this, so if you had your inventory full, god knows where is your ticket going to end. Someone told me that after deleting one item the ticket appear, but I cant confirm this at all, as I had opened up spaces in all my character inventories… Ta da!!!! My name is once again back to normal, but now there is a new situation over here, people is already fighting against each other because someone else had the same name in other server and that one got it first, in that case I believe your are pretty much screw if the other person had your same name the other server but he picked it up first…
